當地出產的波旁尖身咖啡（學名“Laurina”）是極品阿拉比卡咖啡的變種。生長在內日峯海拔1499英尺的山坡上。它在留尼汪種植的歷史悠久。18和19世紀時，波旁尖身咖啡仍然十分嬌氣，產量很低，物以稀爲貴，因而價格不菲。法國東印度公司隨後大規模發展留尼汪的咖啡種植園，他們從非洲大陸運去大量的奴隸作爲勞動力，並將當地大部分可耕種的土地變成了咖啡種植園，咖啡生產達到鼎盛時期。</div>

當時的波旁尖身在歐洲大陸得到了皇室的追捧，波旁王朝路易十五宣稱它是世界上最棒的咖啡，從此王公貴族趨之若鶩。不僅如此，由於它的經濟主導地位，波旁尖身在留尼汪當地舉足輕重。彼時的波旁尖身就像楊貴妃般集萬千寵愛於一身，何等輝煌、何等風光。</div>

爲波旁尖身帶來獨特風味的地理環境，也差點兒讓它經歷一場滅頂之災。留尼汪的地理位置使得它不得不忍受颶風的侵襲。上個世紀的幾場強烈的颶風和傳染病讓咖啡種植毀於一旦。島上的面積有限，當蔗糖和朗姆酒興起的時候，甘蔗種植取代了咖啡種植。波旁尖身在世界咖啡的舞臺上一度銷聲匿跡，成爲書本中記載的歷史和傳說。</div>

1999年，日本的咖啡專家川島良彰慕名而來，卻帶着記載着Laurina的歷史失望而歸。所幸，留尼汪當地的植物學家們並沒有放棄，經過努力，他們終於在島上找到了這個獨特品野生母樹。波旁咖啡種植逐漸小規模地發展起來，迎來了它的復興之路。</div>

和普通的波旁咖啡相比，尖身咖啡的葉子更細小，咖啡果更小更尖，樹形也好似聖誕樹一般尖尖的，故得其名。果實成熟後，有着濃郁的勃艮第酒紅色。之後手工採摘、慢慢風乾。波旁尖身是一種口感清淡、清澈的咖啡，它的咖啡因含量約0.5%，而通常的阿拉比卡咖啡因含量爲1.2%-1.6%。聞香有檸檬和花香混合的痕跡，入口微甜，不苦，完全不用加糖或牛奶，從某種意義上講它是更像茶。因爲有花果的香味，口感優雅，慢烤的工藝保留了它微酸的味道和各種漿果的影子。</div>

波旁尖身咖啡因爲擁有桂花、柑橘等多層次口感，所以受到許多咖啡愛好者的喜愛，不過卻一度因爲天災因素而絕種，不過在2006年，日本咖啡集團開始加入波旁尖身覆育行動，併成功覆育，也開始到臺灣推廣，除了風味獨特，他的咖啡因含量只有0.6%，不過因爲產量稀少，讓他價格不斐，一小壺就要價580元。</div>
