幾年前，當鞋履品牌Toms的創始人布雷克·麥考斯(Blake·Mycoskie)和他的經理主管人員們談論開設第一間零售商店時，他從一開始就面臨了一個僵局。這場討論關涉到對“商店”這個詞的定義。</p>

“我不想以一爿零售店起步。”麥考斯說，“我感覺不到這樣的做法會給品牌增添任何價值。”</p>
<p>
他回憶起當時與同事之間的爭論。“我說：‘我們必須把Toms的門店定義爲趣緣羣體哨所。’一個哨所更像是一個會議中心、一個信息交流場所，幾乎是一個政治聚集點。這是一個事物在不斷髮生變化的場所。”</p>
<p>
最終，麥考斯說服了同事。三年前，首家Toms哨所(Toms Outpost)在洛杉磯的威尼斯區開業。消費者可以發現一個擺放着座椅的後院、免費WiFi以及像晨間瑜伽課程和晚間電影展映這樣的活動。最近，隨着品牌業務的擴大，哨所更是開始提供Toms咖啡。</p>
<p>
哦，對啦，像鞋子和眼鏡這樣傳統的Toms商品被分類放置在哨所不同的空間裏。</p>
<p>
正如麥考斯所說，這個想法是爲了“給品牌創制出一種生活方式。”</p>
<p>
Toms哨所(目前已有7家，Toms計劃開設更多分店)是時尚零售業購物體驗的重新設想，這種重新設想正在如火如荼地展開。有着固定貨架、商品展櫃以及導購員的標準化商店有時可能會不受歡迎，而且也突然顯得死氣沉沉。而豪華精品商店安靜、像畫廊一樣的購物體驗也讓許多年輕的消費者敬而遠之。</p>

與此相對的是，像社區中心的零售商店模式發展勢頭良好，它創制出了一種友好的購物環境，讓消費者在購買商品的同時享受到絕佳的購物體驗。</p>
<p>
近年來，像Club Monaco這樣的品牌已經開始這麼做，它們在商店中規劃出諸如咖啡吧檯以及讀書空間。然而，這種全新的零售模式——將趣緣建設景點放在首要位置，而售賣的商品卻成了一種次要的陪襯——幾乎顛覆了傳統認知。</p>
<p>
這是the Store商店所採用的概念，the Store是一家去年1月在在柏林Soho House內開張的零售商店。在這家商店裏擺放着由阿塞爾•維伍德(Axel Vervoordt)設計的超大號舒適沙發，隨處可見的綠色植物，還有一個提供有機菜餚的餐廳。一個DJ打着碟，在這裏還會定期開辦藝術展。人們帶着自己的電腦在這裏坐上數小時已經成了一個日常圖景。</p>

“這個地方已經變成了創意靈感的集散地。”the Store的創意總監艾利克斯·伊戈爾說，“在這裏一杯鮮榨果汁和一件三宅一生毛衣有着同等重要的地位。”</p>

事實上，在佔地30000平方英尺的店鋪中，只有近五分之一的空間被用來擺放傳統商品。這可能看上去像是一個危險的商業戰略，但是伊戈爾則認爲即使把全部空間裝滿商品，商店也不會因此擁有競爭優勢。</p>
<p>
“現在任何商品只要在網上一點擊就能買到。”她說，“你必須提供一種購物體驗。人們希望得到的東西能夠值得起他們所花的時間。”</p>
<p>
事實證明，電子商務成了這些品牌創制出聚焦趣緣羣體的購物空間的重要驅動力。如果時尚商品能夠被送貨上門，人們爲什麼還會去商店購物?</p>
<p>
“如何把人們吸引到商店中已經成了一個巨大挑戰，因爲電子商務購物體驗變得越來越好。”時尚品牌和行業資深顧問金姆·韋農說，“你能做的最明智的事就是把人們吸引到你的商店中。”</p>
<p>
不同品牌的處理方式不盡相同。一些像Toms這樣的品牌將商店變成了咖啡區和活動空間。Kit & Ace這家在加拿大、英國、澳大利亞和美國擁有分店的潮流服裝品牌每季度會舉辦“週日晚餐”活動，這一晚宴由當地的大廚烹製，並以口口相傳的方式贏得好評。</p>
<p>
Nina Garduno在洛杉磯成立了集零售商店和藝術空間爲一體的Free City Supershop。目前，她正在和唱片公司Light in the Attic展開合作，定於明年1月推出一家潮流唱片商店。這是Garduno對商店年度重新設計提出的最新設想。在商店空間裏，Garduno和她的團隊生髮出一個主題，並要求藝術家圍繞這一主題創造出產品、裝飾、藝術設施以及活動。</p>
<p>
從很多角度來看，Garduno都是走在前沿的。當她於2010年開辦Free City Supershop時，她說，她設想的空間就像是一臺自助洗衣機，“它能夠將你的社區緊緊結合在一起。”</p>
<p>
她補充道：“商店在發現更多方式以創收並賣出更多衣服上做得還不夠多。商店給與消費者的東西也不夠多。人們並不只想爲了買而買。”</p>

這種給與更多的思維方式吸引到了千禧一代購物者，他們中的絕大多數人對環境等社會問題以及慈善事業顯示出高度的熱情。他們很樂意知悉他們所花的錢有一個積極的作用。與此同時，時尚品牌也希望向消費者傳達出企業除了利益之外還有着其他的追求。</p>
<p>
“我們不僅想成爲另一個零售品牌。”Kit & Ace創立人之一J·J·威爾遜(J. J. Wilson)說，“我們更想要探索我們如何能夠以正面的方式影響世界。”</p>
<p>
威爾遜介紹，Kit & Ace每一個商店至少有30%的內容由附近街區的創意人士建造完成，在很多情況下甚至還包括用來提供晚餐的餐桌。僱傭當地的手工藝者讓每一個商店都顯得獨一無二，他說，這同時也是“我們融入當地並讓當地社區感到興奮的方式”。</p>
<p>
慈善活動以及爲社區考慮同樣也不失爲對抗行業面臨的零售壓力的好策略。在Toms哨所開門迎客時，麥考斯說，他的公司必須學會經營食品和飲料這樣的新業務，某些城市Toms哨所爲了迎接早高峯人羣，甚至前所未有地在早上6點開張。</p>

但是，這樣的決定很值得，他說。正如他在9年前開創這個公司時所做的那樣——Toms每賣出一雙鞋都會向有需要的窮人贈送一雙鞋——也是同樣值得的。</p>
